What cracked.guide is
cracked.guide is a free study plan: a dated, 125-week path through Crafting Interpreters and The Art of Computer Programming, with NeetCode problems and a few Zachtronics games along the way. It tracks where you are and what you have done. It is not a school, it does not grant credentials, and following it guarantees no job or outcome. There is nothing to pay for. A "Buy Dane a book" link lets you support the person who runs it if you want to; that is a gift, not a purchase, and it unlocks nothing.
Your account
You need an email address you can receive mail at, or a Google or GitHub account. An account whose email is never confirmed is deleted after 30 days and its handle is freed. Keep your password to yourself, and turn on two-factor login if you like. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Books, problems and games
The path points to books, websites and games made by other people: Crafting Interpreters, The Art of Computer Programming, NeetCode and the Zachtronics games among them. We are not affiliated with their authors or publishers. Get them through their own channels and follow their terms; we do not host or redistribute them. Where we link to something free, it is free because its author made it so.
What you may do here
- Use the path, your progress and any public profile for your own learning.
- No impersonation, no profile that misleads people about who is behind it, no spam, nothing illegal where you are, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the site. If you find a security problem, tell us at security@cracked.guide.
You keep ownership of anything you add. You give us permission to store it and, when your profile is public, to show it on cracked.guide, for as long as it is here. We may hide a profile or close an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why by email unless the law or the safety of others says otherwise. Handles are not property: we may reclaim one that impersonates a person or brand.
The service
We work to keep cracked.guide up and your progress safe, but it is provided as it is, free, without a guarantee that it will never be down or never lose data. Export your data from Settings if you want a copy of your own. The path and features change over time. If cracked.guide ever closes, we will email account holders first so there is time to export.
