Volume 2 leans on the math from 1.2 hard. Patching gaps now saves pain later.
Before you start
- All of Vol 1
How to approach it
Make a one-page summary per chapter: key identities from 1.2, key MIX idioms, and key structures from chapter 2. Re-attempt two exercises you gave up on. Check the Vol 1 errata for anything you got confused by.
Exercises
Pick three exercises you skipped from 1.2 (one each from sums, binomials and generating functions) and finish them.

- Skipping review because you are behind. Review is where the material sticks.
